About Hamish Mackie Sculpture

Having studied at Falmouth School of Art and Kingston University, wildlife sculptor Hamish Mackie began sculpting full time in 1996. Working in predominantly bronze, silver, stainless steel and occasionally gold, Hamish creates unique- limited edition, dynamic ‘living sculptures' in his studio in Oxfordshire. Through intense research trips observing wildlife in its natural habitat and combining his natural talent with his passion for the natural world, Hamish is able to capture the spirit of the animals without producing just an exact replica. Each sculpture takes around 4 month labour intensive months to complete and alongside works which are available to buy now, sculptures can also be commissioned. Previous clients including Four Seasons Hotel Mayfair, Charles Saatchi, The National Trust and Cotswolds Distillery and Hamish is very experienced working with clients, architects, builders and both interior and landscape designers to advise on installation and maintenance.
