Hopefully in just over a month we will be able to return to restaurant terraces and pub gardens, but until then (and until the hospitality industry is fully open) we will be continuing to get our foodie fix by ordering directly to our door. Need some inspiration, here's our pick of some of our favourite restaurants that you can order from:
Nobu London Old Park Lane
Nobu London Old Park Lane has an extensive menu to choose from, so if you're indecisive you might want to ask someone else to choose for you. You'll find set menus including the Nobu Deluxe Menu which includes Beef Tenderloin Tataki, Tuna Nigiri, Grilled Poussin with Truffle Teriyaki Sauce and Ice Cream Mochi or choose from their a la carte menu where you'll find their Nobu Wagyu Taco Box, Pan Fried Dover Sole with Red Chilli Shiso Salsa and yes, their most iconic dish, the Black Cod Miso. Hélène Darroze at The Connaught
Fancy eating from a three Michelin-starred restaurant? Well you can with Hélène à la Maison. The menu includes a selection of chef's signature dishes and a weekly changing dish, at the time of writing, dishes include XXL Scallop with white asparagus, seaweed, sea urchin and lemon; Hake and Citrus Fruits with speculoos and vanilla. You'll also find special menus to mark the likes of Mother's Day. Available from their website.
Hame by Adam Handling
Hame (the Scottish word for home) is Adam Handling's at home restaurant experience. It does require a little bit of prep, but the team have done most of the work so all you have to do is cook the prepared components and add the finishing touches - scan the QR code included for a video showing exactly how to do so. And with dishes including Adam Handling's famous Cheese Doughnuts, Adam's Signature Lobster Wagyu, Beef Cheek Ragu Pappardelle and Chocolate and Raspberry Mousse Cake it's well worth it. Jamavar
Fine-dining Indian restaurant, Jamavar, launched their first decadent delivery experience, THE ROYAL KITCHEN, during the first lockdown, since then they have a created a number of menus including their indulgent Royal Tasting Menu with accompanying cocktail flight and their Celebration Menus for when you just want to be a little more decadent. Plus this isn't just for those living in London, they can deliver anywhere within the M25 in just 40 minutes. Amazing. Available via their website, Supper London and Deliveroo.
Hakkasan, Mayfair
The Michelin-starred dim sum legend that is Hakkasan Mayfair is serving up the best Catonese dishes, over on Supper. Sure, you won’t get the service or the killer cocktails, but you can still order a bottle of Louis Roederer Brut Premier. Dishes including Grilled Chilean Seabass in h=Honey, and the Dragon menu for two which includes the likes of: classic Steamed Dim Sum; Stir-fry Black Pepper Rib Eye Beef with Merlot and Black Truffle Roasted Duck with Tea Plant Mushroom. Nice one.
Ormer Mayfair
Ormer At Home is the delivery and collection service from Ormer Mayfair, it's available via their website, Deliveroo or Supper and it's really upping the delivery game. Launched by Executive Chef of Ormer Mayfair and finalist of BBC Two's Great British Menu 2020, Kerth Gumb, Ormer At Home is a close to eating at Ormer Mayfair as you can get whilst being at home -whether you're sat in your PJs on your sofa or you set the table properly is up to you.... The menu includes Yellowtail ceviche, Black Cod, sides of new potatoes tossed in nutmeg cream sauce, their signature Ormer Mayfair Apple Crumble and a selection of favourite dishes from Manetta's Bar.
HIDE at Home
Turn your midweek dinner into something much more sophisticated with an order from Michelin-starred restaurant HIDE, who have just launched HIDE at Home. You’ll find everything from roasted guinea fowl and poached Gigha halibut with olive oil and eucalyptus, to brunch dishes and a wide range of wines and sparkling wines from Hedonism. Eating home has just become an event in itself. Order through Supper.
Aqua kyoto
Aqua kyoto might have had to close its doors for lockdown but that doesn't mean that you can't still order their incredible sushi and signature Omakase Sashimi Platter. Whether you fancy delicious Tuna Tataki, King crab Soba Noodles, Braised Beef Short Rib or an F1 Japanese Wagyu Sirloin, you can find it all via Deliveroo and there you go Aqua kyoto direct to your door
by CHLOE
100% plant-based restaurant by CHLOE is available on Supper for all of those looking to get your daily fix of vegetables in the most delicious way with the likes of spicy Thai salads, kale and artichoke dips and sea salted celery root.
Dishoom
In the mood for comfort food? Dishoom hears you, they are serving up their much-loved Bombay comfort food direct to your door every day. Dishes include Biryani, Mattar Paneer, House Black Daal and Chilli Chicken. Plus, for those missing the Bacon Naan Rolls, you can order Dishoom's first-ever at home cookery kit so you can recreate them in time for breakfast complete with Masala Chai. Sumosan Twiga
Knightsbridge's glamourous restaurant, Sumosan Twiga is known for serving up a unique combination of Venetian inspired Italian classics alongside Japanese cuisine and now they're bringing it straight to you. On the Italian side you'll find home-made Gnocchi, Veal 'Milanese' and Tagliatelle 'alla Bolognese' whilst on the Japanese side there's Tofu Steak with Mushrooms and Spicy Teriyaki sauce, Maki Rolls and Unagi smoked eel. Benares
Berkeley Square restaurant Benares is delivering their classic dishes across London and Greater London, we're talking Samosas, Chaats and Momos, hearty curries and Biryanis to share (if you feel like it...). They've even got pre-batched signature cocktails, Champagnes, wines and beers ready for delivery so Saturday night cocktails can still go ahead.
